2021年10月25日(月)に放送されたnews zero（日本テレビ）にて、インターン企画 “Regenerative Lifestyle 〜手放したものに新たな命を〜”とアートを通じ古着の不都合な真実について発信を続けるthe Slum Studioをご紹介いただきました。新宿で開催された展示会roomsのトークセッションでの様子を取材いただきました。

南アフリカ出身のJesmane Boggenpoelは、南アフリカの上場企業各社のボードメンバーを務め、公認会計士としても世界経済フォーラムのヤンググローバルリーダーとしても幅広く活躍してきた方。アパルトヘイト時代に、白人や黒人に加えて設けられた「カラード（混血）」の家族として生まれ育った彼女は、幼い頃から自身のルーツに真剣に向き合ってきました。著書『My Blood Divides and Unites』では、彼女自身や家族の様々な経験のみならず、世界中の友人達から聞いてきた分断などと向き合う中で、どのように互いを理解し認め合うことができるのかを模索しています。そんな彼女が”Black Lives Matter（BLM）”や現在の南アフリカの情勢に、どんな想いを持っているのか、お話を伺いました。
